Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at OCS. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a site team to ensure the successful delivery of multi-discipline projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a site team to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard.
  • Work closely with clients, operations teams, and support functions to ensure project delivery in accordance with project plans.
  • Be the focal point for managing client expectations and deliver projects in line with OCS management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Be responsible for the financial outcome of projects, including understanding tenders, reviewing costs, and offering value engineering solutions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the correct specifications and required quality/industry standards.
  • Deliver design and build projects in liaison with internal and external design consultants.
  • On BIM-enabled projects, perform information roles and duties as defined in PAS1192-2 or the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Lead and motivate the team in accordance with OCS personnel policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees have the appropriate training and qualifications to fulfill their role.
  • Regularly review the performance of all employees on both a formal and informal basis.
  • Effectively manage poor performance, taking guidance from HR.
  • Manage absence of direct reports in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of employee morale and adherence to all personnel policies and procedures.
  • Establish and implement a meeting structure for each project.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Design Team, and Procurement Team to develop procurement, cost, design, and project management plans.
  • Work closely with counterparts on other disciplines to ensure project is conducted on a one-team basis.
  • Drive a high standard of safety, health, sustainability, or quality within your sphere of control, ensuring that H&S is planned into all aspects of the works and communicated to all on site.
Requirements
  • Experience of successfully managing multi-discipline projects.
  • Building background with relevant technical Board of Trade Certificate of Competency.
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Experience of commercial management and reporting on WIP.
  • Full driving license.
  • HNC Construction/Project Management or PRINCE 2 Qualification.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Dynamics, and Project.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
