Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Podiatry Specialist to join our dynamic team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our podiatry service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a diverse range of medical and podiatric conditions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your clinical skills and expertise. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including specialist podiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients with a diverse range of medical and podiatric conditions, using appropriate diagnostic techniques and tools.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in clinical and domiciliary settings.
  • Communicate complex information with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist teams, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in new patient assessment clinics, routine clinics, ulcer clinics, and nail surgery.
  • Supervise and monitor students on placement and apprentices.
  • Participate in delivering training and education to patients, students, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Diploma/degree in Podiatry.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the NHS with high-risk feet.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Car driver and access to vehicle for work purposes.
