Job Title: Stress Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Stress Engineer to join our team at Acro Aircraft Seating Ltd. As a Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and optimized structural design of aircraft seating across multiple programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that our products meet regulatory guidelines and requirements
  • Work with the Engineering, Lead Engineers, and Certification teams to ensure customer briefs are adhered to
  • Undertake fundamental engineering hand calculations, including determining load cases and stress/stiffness analysis
  • Use FEA systems to analyze and optimize structural designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • Mechanical, aeronautical, or related engineering degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the engineering industry
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and manage conflicting demands
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with FEA systems and structural analysis
