Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Nationwide

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the curriculum: Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEND.
  • Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote student participation and achievement.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the leadership team, teaching assistants, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the school's vision and objectives.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students with SEND, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and specific learning difficulties.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address underperformance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status: Hold a valid teaching qualification and be registered with the relevant teaching authority.
  • Experience and Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the curriculum and its adaptation for students with SEND, as well as experience working with students with ASD.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection: Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
