Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Nationwide

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with Special Education Needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the curriculum: Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with Special Education Needs.
  • Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote student participation and achievement.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the Head Teacher and other members of the leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of the school's vision and objectives.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students with Special Education Needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and strategies for supporting students with Special Education Needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher status
  • Experience: Science and/or secondary teaching experience desired
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough working knowledge of the curriculum and how to adapt it for pupils with SEN
  • Experience with ASD: Experience of working with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Safeguarding: Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedure
  • Communication Skills: Ability to create and maintain nurturing relationships with young people
