Key Responsibilities:

In this dynamic and varied setting, you will deliver effective procurement strategies across both direct and indirect supplier categories, ensuring a balance between cost, quality, and service. Your role will involve representing Knauf as a preferred customer, enhancing supplier performance by minimizing costs and risks, and integrating supplier relationship management into core categories while prioritizing the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with the Knauf Procurement Policy to meet global key performance indicators.
  • Familiarize yourself with local and national regulations and market dynamics that may influence pricing or supply.
  • Support the initiative to report Scope 3 Carbon Emissions within Procurement and supplier management.
  • Document and report financial savings achieved through procurement initiatives.
  • Guide colleagues and stakeholders through procurement processes of varying complexity.
  • Analyze diverse data sources, transforming them into meaningful and easily digestible insights.
  • Present information effectively to stakeholder groups at all levels.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to secure optimal outcomes for the organization, clearly defining objectives and roles.
  • Align with internal stakeholders globally within Knauf.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for supplier or contract-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain robust supplier relationships to foster collaboration, resulting in cost efficiencies and continuous improvements.
  • Negotiate to achieve the most cost-effective solutions while ensuring quality and meeting ongoing cost-saving targets.
  • Manage contracts from initial discussions to termination, monitoring supplier performance against contractual commitments.
  • Actively participate in the Regional Procurement Team, sharing best practices and collaborating with peers.
  • Encourage positive interdepartmental relationships and contribute to a professional and efficient departmental reputation.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
  • Understanding of broader business processes and financial tools.
