Job Title: Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans to meet business objectives
  • Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to the project manager and other stakeholders on procurement progress and issues
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement, including supply chain disruptions and price fluctuations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the construction, mechanical, and electrical trades
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
