Position Overview
The Dakota Hotel, located in the heart of Glasgow City Centre, is in search of a dedicated and industrious individual to fill the role of Breakfast Chef de Partie.
CONTRACT AND COMPENSATION
The position offers a competitive pay rate of £14.65 per hour, with weekly payments, resulting in a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £30,400 (including expected tronc payments).
This role comes with a permanent contract, requiring a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, with typical shifts scheduled from 05:30 to 14:00, working any five days out of seven.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently manage and execute a busy breakfast service.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to the standards set by the Head Chef.
- Oversee the preparation and creation of Team Food for lunch and dinner in line with our Team Food Menu.
- Exhibit a willingness to learn and assist in various kitchen areas.
- Maintain a strong understanding of and adherence to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
- Demonstrate commitment to teamwork, effectively communicating with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of the kitchen and uphold a pristine working environment.
- Capably multi-task and navigate busy service periods.
- Prepare for breakfast service and set up the assigned section for lunch service before transitioning duties.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of three years of professional cooking experience in a full-service restaurant as a Demi Chef or Chef de Partie.
- Preferred qualifications in Food Safety, with training provided in Health & Safety, Allergens, and Food Hygiene standards.
- The ability to work independently during service while maintaining composure under pressure.
