Job Overview

Position: Lead Automotive Technician

Compensation:
Competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £40,000 annually, with potential earnings exceeding £50,000 due to a commission structure.
Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM every other Saturday.

Employment Type:
Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of class 4 and 7 vehicles.
  • Execute clutch replacements, gearbox changes, wheel alignments, engine diagnostics, and general automotive repairs.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians and staff to ensure clear communication regarding repair timelines and effective customer quotations.
  • Participate in company training and development programs as required.
  • Work independently as well as part of a team.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a vehicle technician specializing in class 4/7 vehicles (mandatory).
  • MOT License (preferred).
  • Background as a master technician or workshop supervisor (preferred).
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Repair & Maintenance (preferred).
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to grow and develop professionally.
  • Proficient in vehicle diagnostics.
