Turner & Townsend Group is seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cost management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage commissions of varying sizes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to ensure client objectives are met
- Develop and implement cost plans, including estimating and cost planning
- Conduct tendering and procurement activities, including managing pre-qualification stages and producing tender reports
- Administer contracts, including dealing with post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to clients
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Interface with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages
- Work collaboratively with Turner & Townsend's project management team during project delivery
- Lead a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities
- Implement our Embodied Carbon Calculator, a bespoke carbon accounting tool, to produce carbon footprint reports
- Manage internal fees, internal job costing, and resourcing requirements
Reporting and Performance Indicators:
A Cost Management Specialist will be assessed on the extent to which:
- Commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time
- Service delivery on commissions is in line with the conditions of appointment
- Good relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team
- They work as an effective member of the cost management team
Requirements:
- Ability to work with autonomy and take initiative
- Self-motivated individual with a confident and professional manner
- Highly organized and able to prioritize own workload
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the business
- Ability to work well under pressure
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management / quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
- Professionally qualified (RICS or similar)
- Degree or HNC level qualification
