About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor, a leading provider of care and housing for older people. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, using fresh, seasonal ingredients and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager and other kitchen staff to achieve a smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and disposal.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, ensuring a varied and nutritious diet for our residents.

Requirements

  • Level 2 food safety certificate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a catering or hospitality environment, with knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
