**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a reliable and organized Catering Support Assistant to join our team at Clackmannanshire Council. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, including basic food preparation, simple cooking, and sandwich and salad preparation.
- Kitchen and Dining Room Duties: Perform general kitchen and dining room duties, such as setting up and clearing away equipment, crockery, and tables, and cleaning of the kitchen.
- Hygiene and Safety: Maintain good hygiene and health and safety standards within the unit, including adhering to food safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Customer Relations: Provide excellent customer service and maintain good relations with customers, including responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as requested by the Senior Catering Assistant/Catering Supervisor, including assisting with special events and projects.
Requirements:
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
