About the Role
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream primary school in Farnborough. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teachers with their lessons and working alongside a team of support staff in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teachers with their lessons and provide additional support to students as needed
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement effective lesson plans
- Assist with the management of student behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient learning process
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience working with children or in a school setting
- HLTA qualification or an undergraduate degree in education
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly and independently
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
