Position Overview

We invite applications from recent graduates in Occupational Therapy.

The role involves delivering Occupational Therapy services tailored to the specific rotational area assigned.

You will be responsible for managing a designated caseload, employing evidence-based and client-centered methodologies to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions in collaboration with senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Rehabilitation Therapist to enhance our service delivery in the region. Our mission is to support patients in maintaining their independence at home through comprehensive assessments and targeted interventions. We prioritize rapid response to crises while also addressing the long-term needs and goals of individuals. Our service includes a variety of interventions, such as developing long-term condition management programs and providing personalized support in the community.

This position is ideal for newly qualified therapists seeking their first role or those looking to broaden their experience before moving into more advanced positions.

You will have the chance to enhance your skills through structured rotations in areas such as Neurological Rehabilitation, Community Rehabilitation, and Inpatient Rehabilitation. Opportunities to gain experience in community respiratory care will also be available as part of the rehabilitation rotations. We are exploring the potential for this role to include rotations in pediatric services, learning disabilities, and mental health.

This position serves the broader locality.

Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this role; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registration (or anticipated registration within six months)
  • Documented evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Desirable

  • Additional clinical or healthcare-related experience
  • Membership in a Professional Body

Experience

Essential

  • Clinical practice during fieldwork placements across various general and specialized areas

Desirable

  • Basic understanding of Clinical Governance principles
  • Ability to reflect on and critically evaluate personal performance
