Job Summary

This role involves leading orthopaedic interface clinics for hips and knees, working closely with orthopaedic teams, and providing clinical leadership and support for the local musculoskeletal service.

About the Role

The community-based orthopaedic interface service covers a wide geographical area, and the primary responsibility will be to provide in-depth assessments, diagnostic advice, and management plans for patients presenting with hip and knee problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account individual patient needs and preferences
  • Work collaboratively with orthopaedic teams to ensure seamless care pathways and optimal patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of services

Requirements

  • Advanced practice physiotherapy qualification and experience in musculoskeletal care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
  • Experience of working in a community-based setting
