About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Oxford Instruments, a leading company in the field of high-tech tools and systems for research and industry. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in bringing cutting-edge devices to life, ensuring that our products meet the highest standard of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your workload to meet agreed quality, time-scale, and cost objectives.
  • Support the implementation of best practice processes, techniques, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Operate within the Quality policy and procedures as defined in the quality system.
  • Maintain a flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Monitor and report on existing processes, indicating the need for corrective action as required.
  • Support the Cell Leader in improving the performance and development of the team.
  • Establish and maintain close and effective working relationships with other members of the team.
  • Ensure personal and team compliance with Health and Safety policy and procedures.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for an Assembly Technician with a recognized relevant engineering qualification, such as an apprenticeship or NVQ, and experience in a similar role. You should have good practical knowledge of skills such as mechanical assembly, electrical and electronic assembly, wiring looms, electrical soldering, surface mount soldering, and bench assemblies. You should also have H&S Compliance and be able to work with a team and independently.
