Job Summary

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced expert to join the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Expert Advisory Group (PRASEAG). As a key member of this group, you will provide clinical and scientific expertise to inform the regulation of medical devices used in Plastic Surgery.

Main Responsibilities

As an expert advisor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical and scientific expertise to inform the regulation of medical devices used in Plastic Surgery
  • Contributing to the development of policies and guidelines related to medical devices
  • Assessing the risks and benefits of medical devices used in Plastic Surgery
  • Representing the views of the wider Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) and providing feedback to its members
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in medical device regulation and technology
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Extensive experience in Plastic Surgery and medical device regulation
  • Strong clinical and scientific expertise in the field of Plastic Surgery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced regulatory environment
Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Membership of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) Council
  • Recognition as a leader in the field of Plastic Surgery by peers and professional organizations
  • Ability to network and build relationships with key stakeholders in the medical device industry
