Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs). As a key member of our Asset Management function, you will play a pivotal role in driving our success in meeting our statutory health, safety and wellbeing obligations as a responsible employer and landlord.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior management with support, advice, and assurance that hazards and associated risks related to health, safety and wellbeing are suitably assessed, communicated, and effectively managed.
  • Advise and support managers to ensure that work activities carried out by WMJobs officers are done so correctly, and that work tasks conducted by our business partners across our residential stock are done so safely, with the appropriate safe systems of work and levels of supervision in place.
  • Lead on the coaching and advising of senior leaders and managers by imparting your knowledge and experience to aid their development and training, whilst indirectly doing the same for all other officers through the delivery of online and quality external training courses to support the continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing performance.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure and assure robust measuring and monitoring of health, safety and wellbeing performance is in place for all service areas with transparency of risk management, incident reporting, investigation, and emergency preparedness and response to influence the quality of decision-making by senior management.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships to assist the achievement of business targets by advising on and interpreting project contractual and statutory requirements in relation to health, safety and wellbeing obligations across all service areas within the Asset Management function.
  • Monitor, analyze, report, and improve plans with key performance indicators tailored to deliver results for all parties, ensuring the wider business understands the importance of risk assessment, effective control measures, monitoring, appropriate training, competency of workers, and visible leadership.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in health, safety and wellbeing management, with a strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
