Production Team Leader

Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to lead and manage a high-performing production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring production plans, leading the team, and ensuring all production schedules are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Planning: Develop and monitor production plans to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the production team, setting job expectations, planning, scheduling, and conducting appraisals.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and motivate the production team, ensuring adherence to HR processes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the condition of production equipment and define future requirements.
  • Safety and Quality: Manage SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) issues, ensuring a safe and clean working environment, and work closely with Quality Assurance to meet all necessary quality requirements.
  • Performance Management: Maintain and compile performance records and manufacturing information.
  • Professional Development: Continuously update professional and technical knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or people management role within a production environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Technical Skills: A background in electronics or light manufacturing is desirable.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong planning, reporting, and organisational skills.
  • Safety Awareness: Awareness of Safety, Health, and Environmental issues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Knowledge of light mechanical assembly work.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
