Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team to ensure all production schedules are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Planning: Develop, monitor, and manage the production plan to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the production team, setting job expectations, planning, scheduling, and conducting appraisals.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and motivate the production team, ensuring adherence to HR processes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the condition of production equipment and define future requirements.
  • Safety and Quality: Manage SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) issues, ensuring a safe and clean working environment. Work closely with Quality Assurance to meet all necessary quality requirements.
  • Performance Management: Maintain and compile performance records and manufacturing information.
  • Professional Development: Continuously update professional and technical knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or people management role within a production environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Background: A background in electronics or light manufacturing is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong planning, reporting, and organisational skills. Awareness of Safety, Health, and Environmental issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems. Knowledge of light mechanical assembly work. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
