Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Restructuring Specialist to join our Restructuring National Corporate Simplification team. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your commercial expertise and gain valuable experience in advisory and formal members voluntary liquidation assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute assignments in alignment with the Firm's established protocols and relevant legal requirements, confirming arrangements with clients and stakeholders, including anticipated costs and billing structures.
  • Collaborate with team members to strategize and implement assignments, potentially managing cases as necessary, while adhering to the Firm's standard practices and regulatory obligations. This may involve:
    • Providing training and support to junior staff within the National Corporate Simplification team.
    • Overseeing the progression of Members Voluntary Liquidations from initiation to conclusion.
    • Facilitating the completion and approval of engagement letters and related documents.
    • Ensuring timely completion of Key Performance Indicators for managerial review.
    • Maintaining accurate records in internal systems.
    • Conducting general case administration, including billing processes.
  • Understand client challenges and develop tailored solutions in collaboration with the Partner/Director and other RSM personnel, which includes:
    • Managing pre-appointment matters for Members Voluntary Liquidations.
    • Participating in initial client meetings on-site.
    • Communicating necessary information from clients.
    • Analyzing and verifying client-provided information.
    • Offering practical advice on orderly wind-down scenarios.
    • Collaborating with other RSM service lines on group reorganization initiatives.
  • Assist with client onboarding procedures and ensure timely completion of necessary documentation.
  • Ensure assignments are completed within budget, discussing any significant issues with the assignment partner and client as they arise.
  • Maintain communication with shareholders, directors, and other stakeholders throughout assignments, upholding principles of excellent client service.
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary.
  • Monitor the profitability and recoverability of work in progress, ensuring timely client billing.
  • Participate in marketing activities as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain awareness of Health and Safety protocols within the Firm and report any concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Head of Department.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in client management.
  • Experience in Restructuring Advisory and/or Members Voluntary Liquidations is advantageous, though not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated commercial perspective.
  • Proven communication abilities due to regular internal and external client interactions.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality results within established timeframes.
  • Interest in promoting the national service line both internally and externally.
