About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at a Barchester care home. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the delivery of nursing care that meets the needs of our residents.

You will have the autonomy to take your unit from strength to strength, with opportunities for professional development and growth. We are looking for a natural leader who has acted as a clinical mentor, with a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and monitor the delivery of nursing care that meets the needs of our residents
  • Implement person-centered care plans that make a real difference to our residents' day-to-day lives
  • Plan rotas, recruit, train, and mentor staff
  • Build relationships with local regulators and social services
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration. You will have experience in producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments, as well as an up-to-date knowledge of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks.

You will be a dedicated, ambitious, and resilient individual with a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care. You will have the ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
