About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller Assistant to join our Finance team at DF Capital. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller with a broad range of tasks and responsibilities, including management and financial reporting duties, assisting on business-wide projects, and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Financial Controller in preparing consolidated and company accounts to a high-standard and ensure the audit process runs smoothly and to schedule.
  • Assist in managing the audit process with our external auditors, ensuring the process is completed smoothly and to timetable.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including completion of balance sheet reconciliations, P/L analysis, management reporting commentary, and variance analysis.
  • Manage intercompany accounts and recharges, and ensure compliance with all accounting standards.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in preparing tax returns and managing the Group's tax affairs, including liaising with external tax advisors as required.
Requirements
  • Qualified or certified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) – required
  • Audit background ideally in financial services – desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, able to use complex formulas, PIVOT tables, graphs, etc.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS 9, IFRS 16, hedge accounting) – desirable
  • Experience using accounting systems (NetSuite, Sage, Dynamics) – desirable
