Estimator Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Gold Group, a leading contractor specializing in civil engineering. As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in the pre-construction phase of our projects, providing accurate cost estimates and collaborating with our project management and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, considering factors such as labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project timelines.
  • Analyse and evaluate bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with our project management and engineering teams to provide cost input during project planning and development stages.
  • Support the project team in monitoring project budgets, providing timely cost reports, and recommending cost-saving measures without compromising safety and quality.
Requirements:
  • Experience as an Estimator or Sales candidate in the construction industry, with a focus on highways or civils sector.
  • Demonstrated capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Proactive in identifying potential challenges during estimating and proposing practical solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools to expedite the estimating process.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: £30,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance (circa £5000).
  • Benefits: 25 days holiday (+bank holidays), hybrid working, car allowance, pension, life assurance, early finish Fridays, and more.
