About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our dynamic team at our Outstanding Primary School in Barnet. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs, ensuring a personalized approach to learning.
  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to students with SEN, adapting your teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to create an inclusive learning environment, promoting a culture of mutual respect and understanding.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure students receive the best possible support.
  • Provide guidance and support to Teachers and other staff working with SEN students, promoting a culture of collaboration and shared expertise.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and needs, ensuring a seamless partnership between home and school.
  • Stay informed about current best practices and developments in special education, applying your knowledge to enhance student outcomes.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in special education, demonstrating a strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN, showcasing your ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, promoting a culture of respect and understanding.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students, regardless of their abilities or challenges.
