This is an exciting opportunity to join the CBRE Planning team across the north, which is 20 strong and has four distinct core activities around Development Management, Development Promotion, Regeneration/Economics, and Viability.
The team is involved in the largest planning/development/regeneration schemes across the North, with a substantial pipeline of new instructions for 2024, including:
- Parkside East – Development Consent Order process for a Strategic Rail Freight Interchange and associated commercial development
- Oldham – multiple regeneration schemes within the town centre for Muse/ECF
- Stoke-on-Trent – next phases of the Smithfield city centre regeneration scheme
- Airedale General Hospital – masterplan and planning strategy including enabling works
- Bury Interchange – new interchange facility for TfGM
As a Senior Planner - Associate Director, you will provide planning advice to external and internal clients across all sectors/land-uses, focusing on projects across the North. You will be involved in major/complex applications and planning instructions, including coordination and project management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing Planning Appraisals, Statements, and Evidence documents, including analysis of planning policy
- Undertaking planning due diligence
- Preparing and coordinating planning appeals
- Advising, directing, and managing project outputs from various disciplines/professionals
- Financial responsibility and management of projects
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, flexible, and commercially astute individual with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be able to engage directly with clients and be the primary point of contact on major projects. Experience of working on major schemes within the private or public sectors is essential. Ability to multi-task, work to tight timescales, often under challenging circumstances, with minimal supervision is required.
