Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Employability Specialist Advisor. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals on the Work and Health Programme, helping them to achieve their employability and wellbeing goals.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including Local Authorities, JobCentre Plus, and voluntary/3rd sector services, to drive referrals to the programme.
  • Work closely with Local Authorities and JobCentre Plus to ensure seamless referrals and effective support for participants.
  • Facilitate welcome sessions for new participants, organize job fairs and local events to drive referrals and job outcomes.
  • Provide high-quality in-work support to participants, ensuring they have the tools they need to remain in work.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing services within the community that support participants in achieving their employability and wellbeing goals.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel across the specified areas.
  • Experience of working with individuals who face barriers to employment, such as physical or mental health conditions, criminal records, or care leavers.
  • Knowledge of the Work and Health Programme and its objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
