About the Role:
Peregrine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and supply of state-of-the-art products across a diverse range of commercial and military platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to understand their complex needs and develop, validate, and manage requirements at multiple levels.
- Develop complex system architectures and sub-systems using a Model Based Systems Engineering approach.
- Integrate, analyze, and test real-time systems containing multiple technical disciplines such as electronic, mechanical, optical, and software sub-systems.
- Take accountability for collaborative technical work package execution and associated outcomes.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and nurturing talent in other engineers.
- Verify that customer needs are satisfied.
- Steer new and improved systems development through implementation while making use of best practice systems lifecycle processes alongside techniques such as Learn First and Agile.
Requirements:
- 5 years or more proven experience in systems engineering activities in relevant product markets and/or domains, such as real-time displays or electro-mechanical controls.
- Proven experience in requirements and design analysis, modeling, and simulation, using tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, Matlab, and Simulink, and design methodologies such as SysML.
- Proven experience in safety-related systems and safety assessment processes with an understanding of how these processes influence the design.
- Customer and/or supplier liaison experience for technical aspects.
- Ability to work with little guidance and make sound strategic decisions while collaborating to ensure the team understands, cooperates, and supports those decisions.
- Proven experience in estimating, planning, and tracking multi-discipline or systems engineering activities.
- Ability to perform review assessments and technically guide the work of others.
- Detailed electronic engineering experience is highly desirable. Exposure to other engineering disciplines (Optics, AI, software, manufacture, mechanical, etc.) is also desirable.
- An understanding of information assurance, cyber security, and environmental impact aspects relating to real-time embedded engineering products would be beneficial.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics).
