This is a vacancy within the Head Office.

Role Overview

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be essential in enhancing the financial performance of the organization by managing the aggregation of financial reports, updating long-term financial projections, and collaborating with various finance teams to ensure precise and insightful business reporting. This position will also require close cooperation with the Business Intelligence team to improve and automate reporting processes. The FP&A Manager will report directly to the Director of FP&A and Commercial Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Consolidate and generate weekly and monthly financial reports, ensuring precision and promptness.
  • Examine financial data to detect trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on financial evaluations.

Long-Term Financial Model Oversight:

  • Maintain and revise the long-term financial model to align with current business realities and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the model facilitates effective decision-making and forecasting for future growth.
  • Incorporate rolling forecasts into the financial model to provide ongoing updates based on actual performance and evolving market conditions.

Budget Management and Integration:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to gather and validate budget contributions.
  • Integrate departmental budgets into a comprehensive organizational budget.
  • Monitor and assess budget performance against actual results, providing regular updates and variance analysis to senior management.
  • Create and maintain budget reports and dashboards to support financial planning and decision-making.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Develop and oversee daily cash flow forecasts to ensure effective liquidity management.
  • Analyze cash flow trends and adjust forecasts based on operational changes and financial patterns.

Finance Business Partnership:

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner for the head office, delivering comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with brand finance partners to establish and maintain a unified approach to business reporting.
  • Support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights to enhance business performance.

Reporting and Process Enhancement:

  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to automate and streamline the consolidation process.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class business reporting practices to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance reporting processes and tools to align with business objectives.

Cross-Functional Engagement:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with brand finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting standards.

External Engagement:

  • Communicate with banks and third parties to obtain and integrate macroeconomic data, such as interest rates and economic forecasts, into financial models.
  • Monitor external economic conditions and evaluate their potential impact on financial performance and planning.
