Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged within the Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust for a Cancer Care Support Specialist. The selected candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team of Clinical Nurse Specialists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and medical professionals to assist patients undergoing investigation and treatment for cancer.

Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the Cancer Care Support Specialist is to aid individuals in navigating the intricate health and social care landscape during and after their cancer treatment. The incumbent will facilitate care by serving as a central point of contact, ensuring swift re-entry into the system for those identified with urgent or specialized needs, and coordinating care, education, and support for individuals with non-complex care requirements.

Our service area is characterized by its diversity, featuring a blend of urban and rural environments, along with varying quality of life levels. We cater to some of the most affluent postcodes in the country, as well as areas facing economic challenges. In partnership with NHS Surrey and NHS Sutton and Merton, we strive to provide the highest quality care to the communities we serve.

The Trust employs around 5,000 staff across its facilities and is supported by over 500 volunteers.
