About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Thames Water as an Operations Liaison Engineer, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety, monitoring contractor health and safety, and working with contractors to address issues and improve site health and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with project delivery teams to ensure a culture of end-user involvement is embedded across the programme.
  • Support the design process, ensuring operational layouts and functionality are in line with best practices.
  • Facilitate definition and agreement of TOCOPs and TWOSAs.
  • Liaise with project teams to agree on passing through key milestones.
  • Verify readiness for takeover and approval of project agreement documents.
  • Support operations post-takeover to ensure benefits are embedded and projected operational requirements are achieved.

Requirements

  • HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in an operational role related to water/wastewater/networks.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, SMSTS or IOSH.
  • Understanding of performance and quality management.
  • Understanding of delivery forms of contract.
  • Extensive operational understanding and experience across Thames Water.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Technical knowledge of water/wastewater operations.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary from £40,000 to £55,000 per annum.
