We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Health and Safety Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff, patients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation, initiatives, and guidelines to ensure compliance across the Trust.
- Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in health and safety.
- Collaborate with departments and teams to promote a positive health and safety culture and reduce risks.
- Monitor incidents and assist in investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
