Job Summary:
University College Birmingham is seeking an experienced and qualified Learning Skills and Development Coach (Professional Cookery) to join the award-winning professional cookery apprenticeship team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboard apprentices, including employer engagement, and provide skilled support for level 2 and level 3 culinary workplace learners.
- Support apprenticeships in a wide range of culinary settings, including Michelin star establishments.
- Ensure compliance with apprenticeship requirements, including end-point assessment, health and safety, food safety, and occupational legislation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of apprenticeship programs and materials.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Professional Cookery or Culinary Arts.
- Relevant assessors award.
- Relevant vocational experience in the sector.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
- Flexible approach to work, including evening and weekend events, and regular travel to employer sites.
- Full clean driving license.
