About the Role

Allica Bank is seeking a highly skilled Business Risk Specialist to join our Controls function. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering First Line of Defence capability within the bank.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast-growing financial technology firm, helping established SMEs navigate the complexities of risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the risk manager in identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks across the bank, including operational, conduct, and non-conduct related risks.
  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools to ensure effective risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with risk and control owners to identify, assess, and monitor key risk indicators, and provide regular reporting to the Risk Management Committee.
  • Conduct risk evaluations of third-party service providers and ensure due diligence is performed to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Support business areas with day-to-day risk and compliance questions, and assist in the development and implementation of improved business processes and controls.
Requirements
  • Strong risk knowledge and experience, including RCSAs, controls, and risk libraries.
  • Knowledge of relevant non-financial risk regulatory requirements, such as Operational Resilience and Outsourcing.
  • Hands-on experience in assurance and monitoring of risks and controls across non-financial risk disciplines.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills, with experience in communicating across different levels of seniority.
  • Ability to provide constructive challenge and support the development of a risk-focused culture within the bank.
