Position Overview


FitzRoy is seeking a dedicated Lead Support Practitioner for our supported living service in Carlton, Nottingham, where we provide assistance to nine individuals.


The individuals we support have varying degrees of learning disabilities and may exhibit challenging behaviors. We are looking for outstanding Lead Support Practitioners to enhance our welcoming team.


The primary responsibility of a Lead Support Practitioner is to assist the Management team by overseeing essential tasks to ensure high-quality personalized care while managing compliance, quality, and financial standards at your site.


You will serve as a role model for exemplary practices, act as the senior point of contact for the team in the Manager's absence, and undertake responsibilities that support the management team.


Collaboration with the staff team, internal and external partners, professionals, and the local community is crucial to meet objectives while adhering to best practice guidelines and FitzRoy's core values.


Provide clear direction and mentorship to foster team development, enabling individuals to lead fulfilling and active lives within their communities.


Execute support worker duties to a high standard and contribute to a culture of transparency, communication, and constructive feedback among colleagues and the management team.


Key Details:

  • Salary: £24,576.23 FTE for 37.5 hours
  • Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
  • 15 hours allocated for administrative tasks, 22.5 hours for support
  • Part-time opportunities available
  • Day and night shifts offered
  • Currently providing an additional £2.50 for overtime shifts*
  • Time and a half or double time for public holidays
  • 30 days of annual leave upon commencement
  • Shift patterns include early and late shifts
  • Alternate weekends required
