About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Circle Health Group. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for delivering safe and high-quality care to patients during their surgical journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of theatre practitioners, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Patient Care: Deliver safe and high-quality care to patients during their perioperative phase, ensuring their needs are met and their safety is prioritized.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of yourself and your team, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor, and leading other theatre practitioners.
  • Certifications: First surgical assistant certificate and additional skills in recovery and anaesthetics.
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems, and experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
