About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Director or Associate Director to lead one of our most high-profile consumer PR accounts as well as some smaller accounts. The successful candidate will have significant experience leading client teams in a consumer agency environment, with a passion for food and drink, retail, and consumer lifestyle clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a key consumer food and drink client with a delivery team beneath
  • Leading, motivating, and developing the team to ensure that they produce creative, high-quality, award-winning work for the client
  • Lead, manage, and support the team to maximize personal growth and career opportunities within the agency
  • Providing counsel and managing multiple senior client stakeholders and their needs
  • Working in a highly detailed manner to ensure total clarity on strategy and planning
  • Ensuring accounts you are leading are profitable and that budget reconciliations and post-campaign reports are completed

Requirements

  • Excellent client management skills with a proven track record of providing counsel to senior clients and influencing stakeholders
  • Strong team-working skills, resilience, and tenacity
  • A passion for media relations with expert knowledge and confidence in media strategy and activation
  • Strong commercial awareness, with a good understanding of working with client fee forecasts, writing accurate budgets, managing service levels, and resource planning to ensure profitable and effective delivery of campaigns
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail, brave creativity, and a drive to produce award-winning work
  • Strategic planning and management skills to take a client brief through the planning process, integrate with other agencies above and below the line, and oversee the delivery of activation
  • Confidence and skill in responding to briefs with tight turnarounds and varying budgets to produce great creative work
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to sell and up-sell ideas to clients
  • Excellent writing skills, including press releases to generate news and launch campaigns
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of handling reactive crisis communication is desirable but not essential

  • Strong UK experience is essential
