Job Title: Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Transformation Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to children and young people with complex needs.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, with experience in working with children and young people with a range of mental health needs. You will be responsible for assessing, formulating, and intervening with clients, as well as providing supervision and training to junior staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and formulate complex cases, developing and implementing effective treatment plans
  • Provide high-quality psychological interventions, including individual and group work
  • Supervise and train junior staff, including psychologists and other mental health professionals
  • Contribute to the development of new services and programs, including research and evaluation
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including medical staff, social workers, and educators
Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, and lifespan developmental psychology
  • Eligibility for Chartered status and membership of the Division of Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council as Practitioner Psychologist
  • Post–doctoral training and recorded CPD experience and/or further qualifications in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
  • Formal training in supervision of other psychologists
  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, technical and clinically sensitive information to clients, their carers, and other professionals
