Construction Assistant

G. Adams Construction is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Contracts / Projects Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Contracts Teams to tender and deliver a variety of construction projects, utilizing their expertise in project management and administration.
Based in Tredegar and operating sites throughout NP, CF, LD, and SA postcodes, G. Adams Construction offers flexible, high-quality building solutions to commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure, and residential sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with tender packages and produce tender reports
- Work from drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project administration
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Source materials, place orders, and ensure timely delivery
- Maintain accurate records and ensure site administration is up-to-date
- Attend site meetings and project reviews to ensure project progress
- Assist with valuations and final accounts
- Ensure health and safety information is completed and up-to-date
- Accurate record-keeping and general contract administration
Requirements:
- Experience in the construction industry
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving license
Benefits:
- 28 days' holiday per year, increasing to 33 with service
