G. Adams Construction is recruiting for Construction Contracts / Projects Assistant.
G. Adams Construction are offering the opportunity for the right candidate to join our team on a full time, permanent basis as our Construction Projects Assistant. The successful candidate will work alongside our Contracts Teams to tender and deliver a variety of construction projects.
Based in Tredegar and operating sites throughout NP, CF, LD and SA postcodes G. Adams Construction offers flexible, high quality building solutions to commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure and residential sectors.
The ideal candidate must have experience of working within the construction industry, will meet the key skills and qualities criteria and must be eligible to live and work in the UK with a full clean driving licence.
Key Skills / Qualities:
- Self-motivated with a genuine interest in value for the company
- Excellent understanding of the construction industry
- Strong communication skills
- Confident in own ability
- Critical thinking capabilities for planning and problem solving
- Must have a full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience in compiling tender packages and producing tender reports
- Experience of project management essential
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Working within a team to meet deadlines and targets
- Working from drawings and specification
- Assist with issuing tender packages
- Liaising with clients/suppliers and sub-contractors
- Source materials, hired in items, place orders, and ensure delivery per programme of works
- Ensure site administration, files and meeting minutes are up to date
- Attend site meetings / project reviews
- Assisting with valuations and final accounts
- Ensure health and safety information is completed
- Ensuring O&M documentation is ready for project handover
- Accurate record keeping
- General contract administration
- Working with the contracts team to upgrade / implement new project management systems
- Other duties as required
Remuneration / Benefits:
- Working hours – to be confirmed office based no remote working
- Holidays 28 days per year to start increasing to 33 with service
- Salary (negotiable)
