Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction company in Essex. As a key member of our Senior Commercial team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing multiple construction projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure accurate project costing.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to gather and evaluate project requirements.
  • Prepare and manage contracts, variations, and claims.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, specifically in fit-outs and new builds.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and start contributing with minimal training required.
