Are you seeking a fulfilling career in IT that focuses on providing customer support in a 2nd line capacity? We are in search of qualified candidates who possess a foundational understanding of IT services and are eager to expand their knowledge to advance their careers in the IT sector. This position will enhance the skills of a capable technician in service support and the provision of equipment to military personnel for training purposes. You will be responsible for delivering second line support to our clients and partners, acting as a 2nd Line technician, and assisting the Service Desk in resolving issues swiftly within the IT environment. Candidates should have some experience in IT Support and Desktop support, and a willingness to lead and share knowledge with the team.

Your Role

This position is customer-facing, making teamwork and effective communication with our clients (Military) and corporate partners essential. The primary location for this role is Gosport, Hampshire, with support responsibilities extending to additional sites within a 10-mile radius. The work schedule operates on a rota from Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate may also participate in projects beyond the immediate area and take the lead on current and future technologies utilized by the team, including but not limited to SPLUNK, Sharepoint, and VEAM. While some training will be provided, prior experience with these technologies is advantageous.

Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction is crucial, as you will need to clarify and meet the customers' needs while adhering to your designated support role as defined by your Team Lead. Key tasks and core competencies are outlined below, but you will also engage in other assignments as directed, contributing to the team's ability to meet target SLA's and KPI's.

Candidates will be expected to apply for and obtain an SC Clearance if not already held, as this is a requirement for the position. Due to the nature of our support needs, a higher level of clearance may be necessary, and this role is office-based.

Our support hours are from 0730 to 1800 per week on a split shift, rotated weekly as directed by the team lead to cover 37 hours.
