Job Summary:

Proman is seeking a skilled Food Production Operative to join our team at our Bury site. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and legality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a variety of tasks to support the production process, including working with meat products (pork, beef) and maintaining a chilled environment.
  • Ensure all product specifications and quality standards are met, adhering to regulations and good practices regarding health and safety, food hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Produce high-quality products, focusing on increasing yield and reducing wastage, and driving Second Nature initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive working environment and establish good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in carrying out a wide range of production tasks and responding to changing production needs.
  • Ensure compliance with key company and customer requirements, and assist in audits.
  • Contribute to a site culture that promotes food safety, H&S, ethical, environmental, and energy behaviors.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the food industry as a Food Production Operative is valued, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Reliable attendance and good timekeeping record.
  • Ability to communicate, understand, and follow instructions, with good attention to detail.
