Family Liaison Officer/Deputy DSL

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Liaison Officer/Deputy DSL to join our team at Outcomes First Group. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable families and ensuring the well-being of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with vulnerable families to formulate a package of support, working closely with the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team.
- Act as a point of contact in school for families in need of support, providing guidance and signposting to external agencies as required.
- Liaise professionally with external agencies, including Housing, NSPCC, Sure Start, Social Care, Early Intervention Teams, Passenger Transport, YOS, and Police.
- Complete referral forms to external agencies as necessary, attend multi-agency meetings, and carry out home visits to build effective relationships with families.
- Provide opportunities for families to engage with the school before their pupil begins, establishing support and building relationships.
- Maintain regular contact with families of pupils receiving support, encouraging positive family involvement in the pupil's learning.
- Act as Deputy Designated Lead for the school, ensuring all training is current and valid, and maintaining record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with vulnerable families.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a commitment to collaborative working.
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
