A SHEQ Coordinator is sought for a reputable Structural Steel Fabrication organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality standards.

Position Type: Full Time
Salary Rate: £50,000 per annum
Location: Head Office

Quality Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the Principal Contractor's safety inspection.
  • Collaborate with Site Managers to resolve any safety concerns identified.
  • Engage in feedback sessions following site safety inspections.
  • Conduct site audits to document observations and ensure compliance.
  • Provide health and safety support to Site Managers throughout the day.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all SHEQ regulations and standards.
  • Assist Managers and Directors in fulfilling their SHEQ obligations.
  • Act as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies such as HSE and the Environment Agency.
  • Develop and revise safe working procedures and protocols.
  • Track SHEQ performance metrics and prepare reports.
  • Conduct internal audits and oversee certification processes.
  • Facilitate SHEQ training programs for staff.
  • Lead initiatives focused on safety and manage personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Certification as an Internal Auditor.
  • Environmental Management Certificate (IEMA).
  • Lead Auditor certification.
  • Experience in Lean Management principles.

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Background in safety coaching and quality assurance.
  • Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry sectors.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar position.
  • Over 5 years of experience in SHEQ management.
