The team plays a vital role in a wide variety of activities, including:
- Maintaining and developing scripted models and related technology infrastructure to produce Hedging MI.
- Engaging with stakeholders across Investments, Finance, and Risk by responding to queries and participating in regular meetings.
- Supporting the pricing and calculation of risk metrics for private placement loans and contributing to PIC's asset system design and controls.
- Involvement in Investment and firm-wide projects.
- Staying up-to-date with internal balance sheet changes, regulatory changes, and market trends.
Key qualifications include:
- A strong academic record in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Actuarial Science.
- Knowledge of asset and derivative valuations and risk modelling.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Matlab or Python.
- Effective communication and innovative thinking skills.
We offer a competitive base salary, performance-related bonus plan, and a range of benefits, including private medical insurance, 28 days' annual leave, and a generous pension scheme.
We also provide study support for part-qualified, student actuaries to qualify with the IFoA.
