About the Role

As a Prisoner Escort Officer at Serco Plc, you will work as part of a crew to provide safe and secure court transportation and custody services. Your primary responsibility will be to collect detainees from prisons or police stations and transport them safely and securely to courts, ensuring the care of their physical and mental wellbeing.

Key Duties
  • Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells
  • Search property or people
  • Ensure food and drink are available
  • Complete paperwork and data entry for the day
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a current driver's license, a C1 License (valid CPC card desirable) or a D License (with valid CPC card and Tacho Graph desirable). You must be reasonably fit and have good written and verbal communication skills, using those skills to manage and control all situations.
