Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at Greencore. As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient running of our operational assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
    • Identify and resolve mechanical and procedural issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Quality Control
    • Complete and sign off quality documentation to ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices.
    • Conduct regular checks on critical control points to ensure product safety and quality.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with Line Support Operators, Hygiene Operatives, Shift Managers, and members of the Engineering team to ensure seamless operations.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
    • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
