Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability and Availability Specialist to join our team at Dabster. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our HVDC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough Reliability and Availability Analysis of HVDC Offshore and Onshore Facilities to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate and lead workshops for Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to ensure effective risk management.
  • Perform reliability prediction for HVDC Systems using industry-standard methods and tools.
  • Conduct availability analysis according to Cigré TB 590, sensitivity analysis, calculate forced energy unavailability (FEU), and forced outage rate (FOR) to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for Reliability and Availability analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to visualize system reliability and identify potential failure points.
  • Perform Markov analysis to model system behavior and predict reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Data Analysis team to develop a RAMS dashboard to provide real-time insights into system performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and observations from workshops to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Action track and follow up on risk reductions to ensure effective mitigation.
  • Meet work quality standards, ensuring first-time right and minimizing defect escapes.
  • Support audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Engineering graduate from Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of performing FTA compliances with IEC 61025 and RBD with IEC 61078.
  • Knowledge of performing reliability prediction using MIL 217 F N2, and equivalent standards.
  • Understanding of performing FMECA according to IEC 60812 & MIL – STD - 1629A.
  • Ability to read schematics, process flow diagrams, specifications documents, and functional documents to deduce information for analysis.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Facilitation and brainstorming skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage work packages.
  • Team development skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Isograph, and PTC Windchill Quality Solution (Risk & Reliability).
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including DNV-ST-0145 Offshore substations and IEC 62061.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in conducting RAMS studies and workshops.
Certifications

CRE and or equivalent certification.
