Role Responsibilities

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will operate from the office 1-2 days a week, with the remainder of the time working remotely, while remaining within a reasonable commuting distance. The focus will be on enhancing client revenue and reducing outstanding debts while collaborating within a team environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily oversight of the designated accounts
  • Understanding the establishment of KPIs and strategies to meet them
  • Fostering relationships with partners and fee earners to ensure adherence to collection policies and escalating any issues related to clients, fee earners, or debts to management
  • Identifying clients who default on payment terms and coordinating with legal professionals on the best course of action, considering the client's profile
  • Maintaining precise and thorough records regarding debtors in the firm's internal system and ensuring the team leader has access to relevant data on the assigned accounts
  • Gaining a solid understanding of the client and their business operations
  • Conducting regular meetings with Practice Group Heads and Partners

Qualifications Required

We seek candidates with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a comprehensive Accounts Receivable role. Experience in professional services managing larger accounts with significant values is preferred but not mandatory. Additionally, desirable attributes include:

  • Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with both clients and legal professionals
  • Able to engage positively at all levels within a legal firm and demonstrate teamwork
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Ability to show initiative and be proactive while also following directives
  • Consistently delivering a positive and proactive approach
